7. George Halas (1920-1967) was the founder and owner of the Chicago Bears. He coached his team to six NFL titles in five different decades with the first coming in 1921 and last in 1963. 'Papa Bear' also ranks second in all-time victories with 324. He was one of the co-founders of the National Football League in 1920, and in 1963 became one of the first 17 inductees into the Pro Football Hall of Fame

A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
