A man escorts a woman from the scene of a fatal shooting on Saginaw's northeast side, Wednesday, April 2, 2014. A male was confirmed dead behind the house. Hundreds of people took to the streets of Saginaw as part of an anti-violence effort that began the same day as the fatal shooting in the city. Police Chief Brian Lipe told the crowd that officers were investigating the city's first gun-related homicide of 2014. That announcement brought boos from the crowd, which included police, firefighters, community leaders and youth group members.
