A water main break flooded Detroits'east side Friday, Feb. 7, 2014. Police riding in the scoop of a massive front end loader rescued two drivers from vehicles frozen in the massive water main break. In total, three cars and a mini-van ended up stranded in the mini-lake that formed.The scoop of a front-end loader was used to carry two people stranded in a minivan. A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
