In this Nov. 25, 2014 photo, Thacher Brown stands at the edge of the dune behind his Bay Head, N.J. home. Chris Christie's plan to widen beaches and build dunes along the state's entire 127-mile coastline. Among oceanfront homeowners opposed to the plan is Lawrence Bathgate, a major Republican national fundraiser whose help Christie will surely seek if he runs for president in 2016.
