She made the decision to leave her children in her Dodge Durango outside the office where she was interviewing with the key still in the ignition. That ill-fated decision landed the mother of two in Maricopa County Superior Court Monday, April 7, 2014, where she was arraigned on two charges of child abuse. A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
