FILE - In this Sept. 19, 2005 file photo, actress Mischa Barton poses for photographers at the TV Guide and Inside TV Emmy Awards after party at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. Barton’s lawsuit on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, claiming her mother stole money and kicked her out of a multimillion dollar home purchased with proceeds from her early career is the latest example of a child star sparring with their parent-turned-manager. Barton made her name as a star of the television series “The O.C.,” but her lawsuit now links her to previous generations of young performers who claimed their parents squandered the fruits of their early careers.
