Joe Jacoby OT Washington Redskins. Jacoby joined the Redskins as a rookie free agent in the summer of 1981. He started 13 games his rookie season, including eight at left tackle. He was the only starter among the Hogs for all four of their Super Bowl appearances from 1981 to 1991. A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
