Wyoming Gov. Matt Mead, center, listens to Jackson town officials during a tour the East Gros Ventre Butte landslide Monday, April 28, 2014, in Jackson, Wyo. Mead says after touring a slow-moving landslide he wants to help local officials defray the cost of the disaster. Efforts to slow the slide by hauling in tons of dirt and rock appear to be working. Ground movement has slowed to just a tenth of an inch per day — much less than a surge April 17 and 18 that sheared one house in two. (AP Photo/Jackson Hole News&Guide, Bradly J. Boner)
