Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Air and Marine Operations Agents, with the help of the Coast Guard, interdicted a recreational vessel carrying nine undocumented migrants. A CBP A-Star helicopter A-Star helicopter assisted with vessel traffic and directed agents operating an AMO SAFE Boat to the suspect vessel. Agents arrived on scene to discover an unlit, ill-equipped and overloaded vessel with nine persons on board. AMO agents determined that all passengers were in the country illegally. Hegseth joins veterans, generals to mark 80th anniversary of battle of Iwo Jima
A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
