The controversial portrait of South African President Jacob Zuma painted by Brett Murray, was defaced last week while on display at the Goodman Gallery in Johannesburg. Footage shown on a national news station shows a man in a suit painting a red X over the president's genitals and then his face. Next, a man in a hoodie rubs black paint over the president's face and down the painting. Two men - one white, one black - were arrested and charged with trespassing. A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
