Martin Scorsese has joined the ranks of other film directors who have shot a movie in 3-D. "Hugo," based on the award-winning illustrated book "The Invention of Hugo Cabret," is Mr. Scorsese's first 3-D movie. To him, seeing in depth is natural, "because we live with depth." A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
