brigham and women's hospital via associated press Charla Nash of Stamford, Conn., who was mauled two years ago by a neighbor's pet chimpanzee, is recovering in a nursing home from a face transplant performed in May at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. "I will now be able to do things I once took for granted," she said in the statement.

A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
