This is the only comic that gets better with every issue (or volume). I don’t know how Bill WIllingham does it. If you haven’t started Fables (the best fantasy comic since Sandman) yet, go grab yourself Vol.1 for the bargain price of $9.99. You’ll probably get hooked, and be ready for Vol.11 before you know it.
Twisted Toyfare Theatre, Volume 9, trade paperback, Wizard Entertainment ($12.99)
Before Robot Chicken, those guys got their start doing Twisted Toyfare Theatre in the pages of Wizard magazine (actually it was called Twisted Mego Theatre, but then the lawyers got involved). Easily the funniest comic out there. Some may argue that it’s not comics since it’s made up of photo-shopped pictures of toys, but hey, it’s “sequential art.” Don’t you feel better now?
