Punter Hunter Smith will return following Sunday for the Washington Redskins following a one-game absence due to a groin injury.

Sam Paulescu, who handled the duties at Atlanta, was released Saturday after Smith felt no ill-effects from Friday’s practice.

 

Smith has missed three of the Redskins’ eight games this year.

 

Safety Lendy Holmes was elevated from the practice squad to fill the open roster spot.
