So much for Shawn Springs making an emotional return to his hometown and to face the team he played with the past five years. The 34-year-old cornerback is out with an undisclosed injury. He joins his one-time protege, Washington corner Carlos Rogers, who has a calf injury, on the sidelines.

Offensive tackle Mike Williams (ankle) and running back.kick returner Rock Cartwright (groin) also won’t play for the Redskins.
