The Redskins were on the field for two hours this morning in shorts and shells and return to the field at 3 p.m.
*Coach Jim Zorn has a plan for the quarterbacks once Jason Campbell departs.
SEE RELATED:“They’re likely to all play but I don’t want to reveal all the thigns we have planned,” Zorn said.
*DT Albert Haynesworth’s preseason debut will come next week against Pittsburgh. The coaches have already decided Haynesworth will sit out Thursday night’s game in Baltimore.
*As for the rest of the defense, coordinator Greg Blache said: “The rest of the guys will be up to how they feel and if thhey’re physically healthy. We’ll make a decision at game time.”
*On offense, don’t expect to see WR Santana Moss (hamstring), OL Rueben Riley (ankle), OL Jeremy Bridges (ankle), RG Randy Thomas (knee) and RB Clinton Portis (rest).
Of Portis, Zorn said: “He’ll play this preseason but the thing about him, he’ll be ready to go when I put him in and he’ll give his best effort. I’m not concerned with how much he plays or doesn’t play in the first game.”
*Zorn said the punt returns will be handled by Antwaan Randle El, Marques Hagans, Keith Eloi and Dominique Dorsey. Anthony Alridge was going to be a part of the equation there but is hurt.
*Moss and Alridge were the only Redskins without helmets this morning. Riley was back doing individual work for the first time since since Aug. 4. Bridges did individuals following a two-day break with his injury.
*The Redskins practiced the two-minute offense. S Kareem Moore intercepted Campbell and S Chris Horton picked off Todd Collins. Collins’ first drive lasted seven plays.
*S LaRon Landry stepped in front of Eloi at the goal-line to intercept Campbell.
*Blache on rookie DE Jeremy Jarmon: “He’s done a good job. … He’s actually further along than I thought he would be. I thought he would be further behind on the learning curve, but quite honestly, some of the things he can do athletically helps bring him up [to speed].”
