Republican unity continued to fray Tuesday with yet another member of the House GOP demanding his party leaders relent in their fight against Obamacare.
Rep. Scott Rigell, Virginia Republican, issued a statement demanding that the House vote on the Senate’s spending bill, which funds the government without any strings on Obamacare.

“Republicans fought the good fight. The fight continues but is not advanced by a government shutdown that damages our economy and harms our military,” Mr. Rigell, a second-term lawmaker, said. “The time has come to pass a clean CR to reopen the government.”
Hours later, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid read Mr. Rigell’s comments on the Senate floor, urging GOP leaders to listen to their own rank-and-file.
Mr. Rigell also voted against the initial House spending bill last week, arguing that the spending level was too low to fund the military. The defense industry has a heavy presence in his district.
