Defenseman Tom Poti will not play tonight against Atlanta. He said his groin (which has been a problem at several points this season) has not felt great the past week to 10 days, and it “took a little turn south” so he wants to rest it. He did not skate yesterday at practice or this morning. He said it is a day-to-day thing, and he will wait until he sees how it feels tomorrow morning before deciding about practice in Tampa.
