Georgetown will face Texas in the Jimmy V Classic next season.
The Hoyas will open the annual doubleheader at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. Connecticut and N.C. State will play in the second game.

It is the second time the Hoyas will appear in the Jimmy V Classic. Georgetown defeated Butler 72-65 in 2009.
It will be Georgetown’s second appearance in New York early next season. The Hoyas will also play in the Legends Classic championship round on Nov. 19-20 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Georgetown returns two starters from a team that went 24-9 and reached the NCAA tournament’s round of 32.
