The United States under-18 basketball team, which includes Maryland signee Jake Layman, won the FIBA Americas gold medal Wednesday with an 81-56 victory over Brazil.
The 6-foot-8 Layman averaged 7.6 points and 4.0 rebounds in five games over the last five days in Brazil.
