CHARLOTTESVILLE —- Duke will be the No. 1 seed in next week’s ACC lacrosse tournament after Friday’s 13-5 rout of Virginia.
The Blue Devils and Cavaliers tied for the league lead. Duke will face Maryland in the April 20 semifinals, while Virginia will meet North Carolina.

A few tidbits on the semifinal matchups:
* Duke and Maryland have split 10 ACC tournament meetings, with Maryland winning the last three (2004 semifinals, 2005 title game, 2011 title game).
* Maryland has won three straight games against Duke, its longest winning streak against the Blue Devils since winning five in a row between 1990 and 1992.
* Virginia has won 19 of its last 21 meetings with North Carolina.
* The Cavaliers have won their last five ACC tournament meetings with the Tar Heels (semifinal meetings in 1997, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2004).
* This is the first time for this set of pairings —- Duke/Maryland and Virginia/North Carolina —- since 2004.
