Sunday, the Terrapins got left out of the NIT as well.

Three ACC schools —- Boston College, Miami and Virginia Tech —- earned NIT berths,
The 32-team NIT included 14 automatic qualifiers, leaving only 18 at-large berths for the rest of the field. Regular season conference champions left out of the NCAA tournament are assured places in the NIT.
