Was thinking last night about how Maryland has a chance to do something quite rare in College Park —- drop 30 points in three straight games.
It’s been 72 contests since that happened —- way back in 2003 —- and it is the second-longest such drought in the ACC (behind, naturally, Duke). But the Terps scored 38 against James Madison and 31 against Middle Tennessee. The streak ends with 30-plus against Rutgers tomorrow.

* Miami can end a 33-game run if it posts 30 points on Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. The Hurricanes reached that figure against both Florida State and Georgia Tech.
* N.C. State’s gap of 71 games (dating back to the halcyon days of Philip Rivers) will end with a 30-plus-points outing against Pittsburgh. The Wolfpack blitzed Murray State and Gardner-Webb the last two weeks.
