Earlier in the week, I called for possibilities for the Maryland football team’s season soundtrack, starting it off with “Wake Me Up When September Ends.”
With only three respondents, I’ll just go ahead and try to come up with a prize for all of them at some point or another. Nothing too snazzy, but something better than a certificate of participation.
SEE RELATED:The results:
From Joel Friedman:
Pessimistic: Barry McGuire’s (1965) “The eve of destruction” – sorry, I am old enough to remember this song.
Optimistic: Bob Dylan’s (1964) “The times they are a changin’” — ditto
From Ben Brosch:
I’d have to say the soundtrack to Maryland football this year would be “Tearing Up My Heart” by N*Sync. Sadly, I don’t feel like it’s that emasculating.
And from Slatter:
Talking Heads - Road to Nowhere
Rolling Stones - Mercy, Mercy
I’ll drop all the participants a line when I dig up something useful and amusing enough for a prize.
