The rundown on Maryland’s injuries for the week from today’s Ralph Friedgen teleconference:
* P Travis Baltz: Sprained ankle
SEE RELATED:Status: Questionable
Alternative: Nick Ferrara, who averaged 38.8 yards (overall and net) against Wake Forest
* LT Bruce Campbell: Left MCL
Status: Questionable
Alternative: Junior Paul Pinegar, who in turn would permit R.J. Dill to start for the fourth time at right tackle.
* WLB Demetrius Hartsfield: Broken hand
Status: TBA. Will undergo surgery this week or next. One way or another, he’s probably missing two games, since Maryland has a bye week in the middle of a three-week recuperation process.
Alternative: That would be Ben Pooler, who finished off Saturday’s game.
* SLB Adrian Moten: Thigh contusion
Status: Probable.
Alternative: True freshman Darin Drakeford, who played well in his first extended time Saturday.
* LG Lamar Young: Shoulder
Status: Questionable.
Alternative: True freshman Bennett Fulper would probably start, but some combination of Andrew Gonnella, Maurice Hampton and perhaps even Pete White could be involved as a backup.
