Maryland finally got to play in front of a big home crowd today.
Of course, there’s lots of maroon and burnt orange in the stands. And the people wearing those colors have reason to be pleased.
SEE RELATED:Virginia Tech is up 14-0, having constructed a pair of drives of more than 70 yards so far. Maryland managed 1 yard on its first two drives, which should effectively silence anyone wondering if Chris Turner was the problem.
He wasn’t. And neither is Jamarr Robinson. It’s the utter lack of a running game.
It hasn’t shown up today except when Robinson takes off.
(EDIT: Nick Ferrara started the second quarter with a 36-yard field goal. It’s now 14-3.).
