Today’s Maryland-Charlotte game offered a good reason why plus-minus isn’t always to be trusted on a single-game basis.
Sean Mosley and Cliff Tucker, who were absolutely crucial to the Terrapins erasing a double-digit deficit, happened to be on the floor for much of the final moments. Charlotte also scored the final eight points, turning an 18-point rout into a 10-point … well, comfortable victory.

Over the course of a season, this should iron itself out. On one day, it skews the numbers a bit.
That’s why it’s worth noting Mosley was +17 until late, that Tucker was a sound +3 until the closing minutes, and that Braxton Dupree tossed up a +4 in the first half.
