Delmarva/D.C. rankings

Suddenly, some thought needs to be put into selecting the leader of the Delmarva/D.C. rankings.

Georgetown did not look good in either of its games this week, first losing at home to West Virginia (that can happen) before falling against previously-winless-in-the-Big-East Seton Hall (that doesn’t often happen).

Meanwhile, Virginia Tech poached victories at both Wake Forest and Miami, and with nine of the last 10 in the win column, the Hokies look like at-large material even if they only have three guys who can score with any regularity.

For now, the Hokies are 2-3 against the RPI top 50, 4-3 against the top 100 and 4-2 on the road. And, safely, the No. 2 team in the Delmarva/D.C. geographic area.
