It stands to reason a line with 11 assists and zero turnovers would mean a player generally presided over good times on the floor.
So it was tonight with Eric Hayes.
SEE RELATED:The junior had one of his best games at Maryland as the Terps beat back Virginia 84-78 at Comcast Center.
An instant classic, it was not. But between a couple early open 3-pointers and some crisp passing later on, Hayes was precisely what Maryland needed.
There’s no reason to get overly giddy about things; this was a victory over a team now under .500 overall. But Hayes’ play was one of the more encouraging signs from the night.
