TALLAHASSEE, Fla. —- I’ve given an honest assessment of the atmosphere at Florida State home games throughout the week.

I’ve got to say it’s better today than in three previous trips.

While the lower bowl isn’t packed, there’s only a couple bare patches. There is a rather lively crowd. And as much as anything, some of the students right behind me are heckling referee Jamie Luckie by name.

A good test for whether you’re a real college hoops junkie is whether you can name the three refs working a game within a minute of turning on a game. A couple of these guys are already pleading with Luckie with consistency,

So count me entertained. And much more impressed than in the past.
