Just got the Maui Invitational bracket, and Maryland is the nominal top seed in the event.

Basically, the No. 1 team in the eight-team field should be paired with Division II Chaminade —- and the Terrapins will indeed face the Silverswords in the opener.

On the second day, Maryland will face either Cincinnati —- yes, a potential showdown with Lance Stephenson —- or Vanderbilt.

Think a meeting with Stephenson would generate an interesting subplot for an early-season tournament?

The other half of the bracket features Gonzaga-Colorado and Wisconsin-Arizona.

So pencil those games into the unofficial schedule for the season, the nonconference portion which now includes:

Nov. 23: at Chaminade, 9:30 p.m.
Nov. 24: vs. Cincinnati/Vanderbilt, 1:30/7
Nov. 25: vs. Gonzaga/Colorado/Wisconsin/Arizona, TBA

Dec. 1: at Indiana, 7:30
Dec. 6: vs. Villanova at Verizon Center, 7:30
Dec. 27: Florida Atlantic, 8

Jan. 3: at UNC Greensboro, 2
