I asked Ralph Friedgen this morning about the right tackle situation, which eventually turned into a full-fledged discussion about the line.
And that eventually reached the guards.

At this point, Friedgen realized he had a bulky redshirt freshman at right guard, not a speedy wideout from the 1990s. He smiled and corrected himself by mentioning Justin Lewis.
“That’s a sign of age more than anything. Or lack of sleep,” Friedgen said. “I’m surprised you guys don’t get me like my staff does. Anytime I have one of those Friedgenisms, I hear them all giggling.”
Oh, don’t worry. I’m usually laughing inside.
This one was even easier to snicker about, and I told Ralph it was funny to envision a kick returner playing an interior line spot.
“Sometimes, the way we’re blocking, I think they’ve got one out there,” Friedgen said. “But I see them getting better.”
