While rolling through some old media guides for some of the defensive line charts of the last couple days, I came upon the full list of Maryland’s 2005 recruiting class.
It had 24 guys.

That group, by the way, would make up the fifth-year seniors in this year’s group.
So it struck me as interesting to see how 24 became 10 (since cornerback Richard Taylor is a sixth-year senior and fullback Cory Jackson never redshirted and is part of this year’s senior class).
This is more of a post for informational purposes, and to sate my own curiosity on how things got whittled down so much. As it turns out, it happened through a variety of reasons:
