It’s closing in on 5:45 and the wait for Maryland to wrap up practice continues.
And continues.
SEE RELATED:And continues.
But it’s not all bad.
First of all, interviews should be wrapped up here by, say, 8 at the latest. That sure beats the departure time of nearly 10 p.m. last night.
And it also is a tad bit better than an extremely early-morning session.
Navy, by the way, practiced this morning.
And it led to this exchange when coach Ken Niumatalolo stopped to chat with reporters:
Niumatalolo: Sorry to make you get up so early this morning Wags. You had to get up so early you didn’t even have time to shave.
Bill Wagner (Annapolis Capital): I didn’t even shower, does that bother you?
Niumatalolo: That is too much information.
Indeed it is.
And suddenly, sitting around and waiting another half-hour or so for Maryland to finish winding through 24 periods doesn’t seem quite so tedious.
