BLACKSBURG, Va. —- Nothing went right for Maryland‘s running game.
The offensive line struggled mightily. Da’Rel Scott seemed sluggish after going nearly two weeks without being hit.

The thing is, Maryland’s minus-12 rushing total could have been worse. Chris Turner was fortunate to only take three sacks. He was under pressure a lot more than that.
The yardage was, unsurprisingly, the worst in Maryland coach Ralph Friedgen‘s eight years in College Park. The old “record” was a 7-yard output against Georgia Tech in 2004.
