Terps check back into rankings

Maryland is back in the AP rankings, checking in at No. 22.

That makes the Terrapins‘ the ACC‘s top-ranked team, just a spot ahead of Miami.

Also in or near the rankings: No. 25 North Carolina, No. 26 Boston College, No. 28 Georgia Tech, No. 31 Florida State and No. 40 Virginia Tech.

That’s right —- no top-20 teams, then seven in the next 20.
