\ Here’s the quick rundown from Ralph Friedgen’s afternoon teleconference:\
\ TE Dan Gronkowski: Out two weeks with a left MCL injury; that’s an update from yesterday when Ralph thought it might be an ACL.\
SEE RELATED:\ T Bruce Campbell: “We don’t know yet,” Friedgen said. “He has an ankle sprain. They don’t know if it’s a high ankle or a low ankle. We’ll know by Monday or Tuesday.”\
\ FB Cory Jackson: Could be back this week from a broken left hand, but will practice non-contact\
\ DT Travis Ivey: Ralph hopes to have Ivey back from his right MCL injury suffered Oct. 6. That was originally thought to be a six-week injury, so this is a fairly quick return.\
\ LB Rick Costa: The junior’s Oct. 6 concussion has evolved into “an indefinite situation.” That was Costa’s second concussion since the start of camp.\
\ T Scott Burley: “They’re saying he was no worse off,” Friedgen said. “He played about three plays. We’re hoping to have him ready. That’s huge right now, especially if Campbell can’t go.”\
\ Another notable note: Ralph said he was tempted to insert junior Jordan Steffy at quarterback in place of Chris Turner, who recovered from two first-half turnovers to lead a pair of fourth-quarter scoring drives in the 30-17 loss to Clemson.\
\ “We’ll just see how Jordan is this week in practice,” Friedgen said.\
\ Then he was asked who would start at North Carolina.\
\ “Right now it will be Chris unless I change my mind during the week,” Ralph said.\
\ Loosely translated: The quarterback quandary isn’t disappearing. But for Ralph, it sure beats not having any options at all.\
