Sorry if the title to this post sounded like a Brent Musburger greeting.
Anyway, we’re here in San Diego for the start of the Nationals’ three-game series with the Padres. The baseball between two last-place teams will probably be less than compelling, but as usual, the city makes up for it. It’s my first time in this ballpark, but it’s already shaping up to be one of my favorites. I was lucky enough to live here for a few years as a kid (and take my beautiful wife here on our honeymoon). It’s truly one of the best places to visit in the country—great weather year-round, a relaxed atmosphere that’s much slower than L.A., and plenty of things to do outdoors.
