With about 45 minutes til first pitch today, the Nationals announced a lineup change, with Austin Kearns removed from the mix due to a right thumb contusion. It’s not believed to be serious.

The domino effect is that Josh Willingham won’t make his first career start at first base after all. Willingham moves to left, Elijah Dukes moves to right, Ronnie Belliard moves to first and Alberto Gonzalez enters at second base.
