Stephen Strasburg has signed with the Washington Nationals.
The 21-year-old right-hander and No. 1 pick in June’s amateur draft came to terms with the Nationals tonight, narrowly beating the league-imposed midnight deadline.
SEE RELATED:Exact contract terms weren’t immediately known, but it’s believed Strasburg will receive about $15 million over four years. That’s more guaranteed money than any previous draft pick has received, breaking the record of $10.5 million given to Mark Prior by the Cubs in 2001.
More to come…
