OPINION:
President Biden is no doubt correct in his assessment that Russian President Vladimir Putin is responsible for the death of opposition leader Alexei Navalny (“Biden blames Putin for Navalny’s death, pleads for more Ukraine aid,” web, Feb. 16).
But look at what Mr. Biden and his fellow Democrats are doing to former President Donald Trump, Mr. Biden’s opposition. They’ve impeached him twice, indicted him four times, had an FBI raid conducted on his Mar-a-Lago home and made numerous efforts to keep him off the 2024 primary ballot. Most recently, one of their judges ordered Trump to pay $355 million in penalties in a New York civil fraud trial.
The Democrats, in collaboration with the mainstream media, are hellbent on destroying Mr. Trump politically and financially. We have never seen a witch hunt like this in America. Of course, the Democrats would not be persecuting Mr. Trump if he weren’t running for reelection. And if he wins, they will probably try to invalidate the election.
In the meantime, there ought to be a law against such corrupt practices.
