MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - Police in Missoula are trying to reduce the number of bike thefts by placing a bike in a strategic location and waiting for someone to take it.

Officer Travis Welsh tells KGVO-AM that two men were arrested early Wednesday, one for taking a carry pack from the seat of the bike officers were watching and another for riding off on the bike.

A search of weekly Missoula police reports show about 15 bicycles were reported stolen in each of the past two weeks.
